It Is Free and There Is More
How often have we felt under resourced, out of energy, lacking in talent and with nothing left to give?
The truth is those feelings represent our flesh and natural thinking, not our spirit man. If we could only learn to live in the Spirit and from our re-created spirits, we would see that the resources of heaven are limitless. Not only that, as we give what we have received, what we give is restored and multiplied!
One of the greatest truths and secrets of God’s kingdom is that of giving and receiving. This is not only applicable to the subject of resources, but can be applied to everything in redemption.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” —Luke 6:38
The challenge lies in that we typically look at what we don’t have rather than what we have.
The disciples were guilty of this when they informed Jesus they didn’t have enough to feed the thousands who were following Him. They were fixated on what they didn’t have, but Jesus asked them what they did have! Five loaves and two fishes were enough!
He was using His spiritual eyes to see more than enough. We can do that too!
True prosperity is a heart free from fear that is able to give cheerfully, knowing that such giving releases the grace of God into our lives. (See 2 Cor. 9:6-11.)
“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” —2 Corinthians 4:18
If God’s resources are free and limitless, then there is enough for you and me…and more than enough!
We can freely give because we have freely received! If you can see yourself abounding and overflowing with the resources of heaven, the gifts of the Spirit, and the grace and love to lift people up, you will become a cheerful giver.
The resources of heaven are free and available if we choose to see them.
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” —Matthew 10:8
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.” —1 Corinthians 2:12
