Faith That Works
You can believe the right things and still see nothing change. These two teaching series explore why, and what to do about it.
The Water Walker
Peter did not walk on water because the conditions were right. He walked because he had a word from God and chose to step out of the boat. This series follows that moment and everything it reveals about how faith operates when the storm is real and the shore is behind you.
What Happens When You Leave the Shore
Andrew WommackThere is a moment in Matthew 14 that most of us skip past too quickly. We love the part where Peter walks on water. We remember the part where he sinks. But there is a detail before any of that happens that changes the whole story. Jesus told his disciples to get into the boat. And they did not want to go.
You Have to Position Yourself for a Miracle
Andrew WommackThere is a version of the Christian life that never requires God to do anything supernatural. You play it safe. You manage your risks. You lean on your own understanding and call it wisdom. And because you never put yourself in a position where you need a miracle, you never get one.

“For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.”
Hardness of Heart
After an experience in Omaha where a man he prayed for was not healed, Andrew Wommack spent nearly two years searching scripture for an answer. What he found in Mark 6:52 changed the way he understood faith, unbelief, and the condition of the heart.
When Your Faith Doesn't Work
Andrew WommackWhat do you do when you are sure you have faith, you believe something is God's will, you step out expecting Him to move, and nothing happens? Andrew had enough confidence to grab a quadriplegic man and pull him out of his wheelchair in front of everyone. You do not do that casually. He knew he had faith.
When Amazement Is the Problem
Andrew WommackThe disciples were "greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure" when Jesus walked on water. That sounds like a compliment. But Mark says their amazement came because their hearts were hardened. They watched the supernatural without letting it change what they expected from God next.
More teachings on the way as this series continues.
Faith is more than a formula.
These teachings explore common questions about faith, unanswered prayer, and the heart—not with a quick diagnosis, but by returning to what scripture reveals and how it reshapes what we expect from God.
Signs your heart may be hardened
A hardened heart is not simply a heart that does not love God or refuses to believe. In Mark 6, the disciples had just seen Jesus multiply the loaves, yet they were still astonished when He came to them on the water. The teaching asks whether what God has already shown us has changed what we expect from Him next—or whether our expectations are still being shaped mainly by the natural world.
Explore Hardness of Heart →Why do prayers go unanswered?
There is no casual answer for a prayer that seems unanswered. Andrew's search began after he prayed for a man to be healed and nothing changed. Rather than assuming God had withheld His will or that faith was absent, he spent two years studying scripture. That search led him to consider how faith, unbelief, and a heart conditioned by circumstances can operate at the same time.
Read When Your Faith Doesn't Work →How to strengthen your faith
Faith grows as the Word is received and acted on. In the Water Walker teaching, the disciples had a word from Jesus to go to the other side, but they still had to get into the boat. This is not a call to reckless striving; it is an invitation to trust God beyond self-reliance when He gives direction, and to let His promises shape the next obedient step.
Explore the Water Walker series →Stepping out is only half the story.
The Water Walker series asks what it looks like to step out in faith when everything says stay. The Hardness of Heart series asks what has been quietly working against your heart while you thought you were believing. Together, they move from the decision to act to the condition of the heart that determines what happens next.
