What will you will?

One of the most remarkable aspects of God’s creation of man is that He made man in His own image. We are of the God kind. God’s will gave us a will. Without a will we would not be made in His image.

“For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” –Philippians 2:13

What is God working in you to will? Wouldn’t God be working in us to will to love, give, forgive, bless and heal? His life in us should be willing to live His life through us!

“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what YOU WILL, and it shall be done unto you.” –John 15:7 (emphasis mine)

IF we abide in Him and His words abide in us, we can ask what WE will!!

Some take the idea of “it’s not me, it’s Christ,” to such an extreme that they become paralyzed, fearful that anything they choose to do must be the flesh and not God. Little do they realize that it is God within creating the desires, ideas and inspiration to “will and do of His good pleasure!”

Don’t crucify your will! It isn’t of the devil or the flesh to will and do of His good pleasure! You are free to dream, to bless, to serve, to give, to lift up others.

You don’t need three dreams and a vision before you do something! Your will has been redeemed! Use it for the glory of God. Don’t put everything off on God, when in fact He has put it all within YOU.

“For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing.” –2 Corinthians 8:3
