Who or What Is Leading You?

Did you know that you are being led?

You may not be aware of it, but every moment of every day we are all being led. Who or what is leading us, and where are we going?

Consider these three options:

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” —Romans 8:14

“…beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;” —2 Peter 3:17

“…led away by various lusts.” —2 Timothy 3:6

We are either being led by the Spirit of God, by the error of the wicked, or by our own lusts. The motivation of the Spirit of God is life. The motivation of the wicked is lies. The motivation of the flesh is lust. So, we are either experiencing life, being corrupted by lies, or giving into lust.

Lies and lust are all around us. They represent the corruption of the world. Those forces are constantly looking to sow doubt, fear, anxiety, error and guilt. The Spirit of God seeks to lead us into abundant life, joy, peace, love and purpose. Whatever we focus on (life, lies or lust) will determine our destinies.

So the question is, who or what is leading you?

You can know by looking at what you are experiencing. If you aren’t experiencing life, joy, peace, love and purpose, you aren’t being led by the Spirit of God.

Give it some thought.
