How You Can Walk in Resurrection Power Every Day of Your Life (Part 1)
On April 12, we will be celebrating Resurrection Sunday, the day Jesus rose from the dead!
Jesus is alive!
Suffering greatly on our behalf, our precious Savior died and rose again so we could have abundant life. Not just once a year on Easter Sunday, but He did it so we could walk in that resurrection power—the power that raised Him from the dead—every day of our lives.
Yet, so many Christians are not making use of the tremendous power Jesus provided for us.
In the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, He redeemed what Adam gave over to Satan in the Garden of Eden through his disobedience. All of the authority, dominion and power that rightfully belonged to us as children of God was returned in Christ’s obedience.
When Jesus said, “It is finished,” as He breathed His last breath, His physical part on the earth was finished. But when He rose from the dead after the crucifixion, God’s plan of redemption truly was finished. Satan was totally and utterly defeated. Notice that “was defeated” is past tense.
Satan is already defeated!
“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” —Colossians 2:15 (NKJV).
Jesus not only won the battle, He disarmed every power that could ever try to come against us.
That means Satan has no power over you unless you give it to him. He has no authority—unless you give it to him. Jesus has already done all of the work. Now, it is up to us to live in that finished work—that resurrection power!
Most Christians today are not living in that power and walking in that victory. But we can!
