God's Anointed--Or a Worm?

Have you ever had those days when you wake up in the morning thinking, ‘Wow, Lord, I’m so spiritual right now. I'm so anointed’?

Carrie Pickett

And then, not even an hour later, you get frustrated, and you're like, ’I'm such a worm!’

We all have those days. But let me assure you, you’re not a worm.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” —Matthew 5:14

The enemy is terrified that you will truly realize that you’re the light of the world, and you’ll become that city on a hill that cannot be hidden.

What one person who realizes this can do! Get a thousand together, and the possibilities are endless.

Satan’s whole goal is to get your eyes off of who you are in the spirit and get you walking after the flesh.

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” —Romans 8:5

So if you see flesh and frustration in your life, stop, and ask, "Where are my eyes? What have I set my eyes upon?"

When I speak of setting your eyes upon something, I'm not talking about something vague or abstract. I'm talking about such an intense focus that you declare, "I set my focus and my priority on you God. I set my eyes on who I am in the spirit."

Some may say, "Well, I don't know who I am in the spirit. How can I get free from fear and be who God's calling me to be when I don't even know?”

The Word of God tells us who we are. Again:

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.” —Matthew 5:14

And furthermore:

“Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17 (emphasis mine)

In your spirit, you are just like Jesus—not a worm! Hallelujah!
