First Year Student Ministry Program

Day or Night Full-Time Students

The Student Ministry Program is intended to produce a lifestyle of servanthood from a motivation of love. Therefore, you are encouraged to be involved in more than the minimal requirements and to excel in your ministries as ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. You should display integrity, accountability, and faithfulness to the people and tasks to which you have committed.

You are required to be involved with a particular ministry assignment for a minimum of five weeks each term. The Student Ministry is a requirement for all first year students. It is encouraged that you participate in a ministry in your own local church to complete the Student Ministry requirements, with the approval of the Dean of Students/Night School Director. You will also be allowed to complete your ministry requirement either through an approved local ministry or through the various ministry opportunities of Charis Bible College or Andrew Wommack Ministries.

As you can see, the student ministry is to be done with an organization, under supervision. Private, one-on-one Bible studies, praying with a fellow student, and other such ministries are not applicable toward your Student Ministry requirement.

A student report form is due from each student the first school day of each month for the ministry performed the previous month. Forms can be picked up and dropped off in the Student Services Room. These forms must be completed and turned in the first school day of the month to receive credit. No credit will be given for sheets handed in late, unless you indicate on the report form that you were absent from class on the due date.

The Requirements of First Year Student Ministry are:
  1. A maximum of five (5) hours of Student Ministry per week.
  2. A minimum of five (5) weeks per term for a total of 25 hours per term.

First Year Student Ministry Grading Policy is:
  • If your student ministry grade falls below 75%, your overall grade will be reduced by 10%.
  • If your student ministry grade falls below 65%, your overall grade will be reduced by 20%.
  • If your student ministry grade falls below 55%, your overall grade will be reduced by 30%.
