What classes do I take… and when?

You have a lot of flexibility in scheduling your classes. There are a few courses that need to follow previous courses in a series. But aside from those, you are free to take whichever courses you choose in any term. Also there is no restriction on how many or how few courses you take each term. You can take more classes during terms when you have more time, and fewer classes when you have less. Since new terms start approximately every 6 weeks, it is easy to adjust your school workload from term to term with CBC Online.

Students who wish to complete the entire first year curriculum of 30 courses often want to know if there is a recommended sequence of classes that works well. There are many possible sequences that would be fine. Below we have included one that we suggest. This sequence allows you to complete the entire first year program in comfortable timeframe of 5 terms (or 38 weeks) by taking 6 courses per term.  View the Requirements for Completion of First-Year Program.

Lessons per week (for each course): 2
Estimated Student Hours per lesson: 1.5-2
Estimated Student Hours per week (for all 6 courses): 18-24

NOTE: Courses are subject to minimum enrollment levels. CBC reserves the right to cancel classes at its sole discretion. If a course is canceled by CBC, the student will receive a refund for that class.
