Third Year - School of Ministry

Charis Bible College offers a third year program with in-depth training for the many practical areas of ministry that are found in church and para-church situations. Our goal for the third year School of Ministry is threefold: to expose students to a variety of ministers and ministries; to further equip students for future ministry opportunities; and to help students identify their direction for future service. The School of Ministry was designed to further prepare our CBC graduates for the practical aspects of serving others in the church and in the world.

Is the School of Ministry right for me?

  • For those who feel called to any kind of future ministry, the School of Ministry is for you! It’s important to note that this is not limited to those called to the ‘five-fold ministry.’ There are also studies for those whom God is leading into the ministry of helps and other supporting roles. They include everything from the business and legal side of church administration, to event planning, youth ministry, children’s ministry, worship, missions, leadership and much moreā€•all vital elements in effective ministry.

What will I learn?

  • During each of the three school terms there are several full courses, various 2 hour workshops, teaching labs, small group projects, guest speakers and occasional visits to local ministries and churches. In the School of Ministry, students will complete required classes in subjects such as Pastoral Principles, Ministry Fundamentals, Church Administration, Marriage in Ministry, Leadership, Teaching Practices, and Public Speaking.  They will hear from seasoned men and women of God who are successful pastors and para church ministers.  Our teachers include such well known pastors as Happy Caldwell, Duane Sheriff and Bob Yandian, as well as regular classes from Andrew Wommack.

How do I apply?

  • All CBC graduates from any CBC in the U.S. or abroad are eligible to apply. Please, contact us for more information!
