How He Loves Us!
Every 2nd Year Charis student is required to take a mission trip before graduation.
The testimonies from those trips are incredible! And many times, students find that they had a specific purpose for being there.
Charis student, J.R. Staton, found that out on his trip to Sri Lanka:
“People were healed, born again, baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues, wanted prayer to know the will of God for their lives, etc. What was amazing was that most of the people in these meetings did not speak English and were Hindu. We did have interpreters, but it was the anointing of God that did the work!
“Prior to departing on the trip, a friend came to me and said she believed God told her to tell me that I would minister to a lady wearing red about salvation for herself and her household.
“The last day of the trip, I saw an older lady in a red top coming directly to me. I knew this was the woman my friend had told me about. The lady was actually saved but was concerned about her sons and daughters because they were not saved. She asked for prayer that they would come to know Jesus. Needless to say, I prayed with her, and I believe they will come to know Jesus and be saved.
“It is awesome and amazing that God would send me from the US to pray for a specific woman, wearing red, in Sri Lanka so that her sons and daughters would someday be saved.
“That demonstrates how much He loves people!”
