3rd Year Business School

The Practical Government School equips Christians with a solid foundation in critical areas to effectively impact the arena of government. We establish the students in the biblical principles of sound government, a true history of the Christian heritage of America, and the practical skills they will need to step into their calling to become leaders who will restore God’s plan for government.

Students will receive world-class instruction in biblical worldview, the Constitution, the history of American government, and the practical skills of political engagement and effectiveness.  We will utilize materials prepared by best-selling author and pre-eminent historian, David Barton, as well as other highly-esteemed authors. Guest instructors include high-ranking military officers, elected officials from all levels, grass roots activists and professional communication experts.

Hands on Training

Practical Government School students will receive invaluable experience through hands-on training to engage in the government process.  We will provide opportunities to see the Colorado Legislature, the Colorado Springs City Council and other government bodies in action.  Students will participate in a “mock legislature” and fulfill real-world,practicum requirements. Students will be prepared to advocate for Christians and families through speaking labs and will prepare to launch student-led projects that have real-world potential to impact the landscape of government.

Mark Cowart, Business School director ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Mark Cowart is the Senior Pastor of Church For All Nations (CFAN), a multi-site church with a total of 4 campuses. With the mission of empowering locally, sending globally, and reaping eternally, Pastor Mark seeks to fulfill Matthew 28:18-20… “Go then and make disciples of all nations”. While reaching the nations with the Gospel is his passion, Pastor Mark also has a deep and fervent love for this nation (USA) and recognizes the urgency and responsibility of the local pastor to preserve and protect the moral fiber of our country and work to restore its godly foundations.

Apply to Charis Practical Government School

Charis Third Year is available to graduates of Charis Bible College only. 

Many of our campuses offer a Third Year program where students apply for an internship at the school, but the Business, Creative Arts, Media, Ministry, Missions, Practical Government or Worship schools are exclusive to the Woodland Park, Colorado campus. The Leadership Program is exclusive to select Charis Campuses, including Colorado.
